100th Post and My Birthday

Hey guys, as you can probably tell, this is my 100th post. It seems like it's only been a few post that I've done. Haha. I really want to thank all my readers for making this possible for me. I really appreciate all of you. (Even the ones that aren't in the Follower Box over there in the sidebar.) I love you all so much and I just wanna say thank you.


The big news is that it was my birthday yesterday. I got a ton of loving messages from you all on my facebook page. Thank you guys SO much! So, now that I'm officially 15, I don't really feel all that different. Another important occasion is that it's been officially 1 year that I've been on Wizard101. It doesn't seem all that long ago that I was working out Emily and Dakota's argument on Triton Avenue. I can't believe it's been that long since I was a little lvl 1. Level 52 now. Man, time flies. I've had a wonderful experience with all of you bloggers, fans, and friends. You're all amazing. The Wizard101 community truly is magical.


Now enough about me. ;D We've been given the FINAL CELESTIA WALLPAPER! Yeah, that's right. Here it is.

So we've been given Cuthalla, a Seahorse mount and in the center, Thurston Plunkett? But I thought he was a fat dog, or a frog? Hmm... (if that's not Thurston please let me know. I haven't gotten that far in CL yet. ;D)

In fact the other day I fought our two friends here. (By porting of course.)

Veterans' Day

Hi everyone. Sorry I've been so sparse with my posts lately. I feel like I'm letting you all down.


But that's not what's important today. Today we honor those who have served in the Air Force, Navy, Marines, and the Army. Those, who have defended the country against violence and provided us with our rights. Thank you.


I'd like to share this video with all of those who have a loved one over seas right now.





Thank you're loved ones for risking their lives and making the ultimate sacrifice of leaving their family and friends to serve their country. The best gift that you can give them back is to let you know you love them and everything is ok.

The Awesome Sauce-erer's 50th Post Anniversary

"x Gasp! x Blaze, did you just say that this is your 50th post already?"

Yes, inquiring reader, I did.

I'm very excited that I've come this far in the blogosphere, as Friendly calls it. In honor of this huge milestone, I'm going to do something that I've wanted to do since I started, but had no idea how to until a few nights ago, when I received an e-mail from Friendly, explaining how. The second after this post is published, there will be a hit counter on this very blog.

Isn't that exciting?

Well, I think it is. (I doubt I'll catch up to Friendly any time soon, though ;D [No, I don't want you to spam the refresh button. +10 Brownie Points for thinking of it though ;D])

Which brings me to today's question. (Which ties in perfectly with today's post, as it's a very fun topic.) I received an e-mail from Ronan Ravenshard 3 days ago, so here we go.

Hi Blaze! First off, let me say this. Your blog is awesome, and funny! Now, the question.I see you mention "Brownie Points" on your blog. What are they?If they're for a contest for whoever has the most brownie points, I want some :D.Thanks for your time! :D

Ok, Ronan. It all started when I was on the computer one day, a little after the beginning of the school year. I was on some forum. (I'm not quite sure what for. I think it might of been a W101 blog actually. Oh well.) Anyway, someone commented in reply to someone else, and "gave them brownie points because they asked a good question or gave a good answer or something like that. The following day, I made a "Brownie Points Chart" and brought it to school. I would give out brownie points at lunch to my friends for doing something nice for someone, or just being a good friend that day. I eventually ran out of time to keep counting up the insane amount of points that I was giving out, and just stopped giving them out. (I'm going to try and bring it back for the last week of school.)

So now that I have a blog, I give out brownie points for doing something cool, asking a great question or finding out info about the game, etc. I'm not keeping track of all the points for the readers. I guess you could say that I'm keeping it on the honor system.

My next topic today is the glitch that has been happening recently for a lot of players. Let's bring out the Glitch Dog for the first time on my blog.

Yup, he's the cutest little dog in the Spiral. (He's actually Friendly's, but I don't think he'll mind if I borrow him for a bit.)

Ok, I'm calling this huge event, "The Item Hurricane." Ok, so on Sunday, I noticed that Chester (My chestnut pony. You all should know him by now.) wasn't in my backpack. I panicked. I checked my bank. Nothing. I started crying. I've grown so close to Chester, over the half a year (Estimate) that I've had him with me.

"Blaze, he's just a virtual horse."

I understand that, but when you have something for such a long time, name it, and everything, you fall in love with it, making it nearly impossible to see it gone.

I quickly logged off the game, and logged back in, figuring this would fix the problem and everything would be fine. WRONG! He was still gone. I tried again. Nope, still gone. I then proceeded to e-mail the awesomesauce people over at KI.

They then asked me what I had lost, when I bought him, what happened, blah blah blah. I won't bore you with the e-mail I sent them and all that.

The next day I went on, and all my pets were gone except for Princess Roxy, who was equipped. That means I had lost:

• Mister Maximus (My first and favorite pet.) - Blue Cyclops
• Mister Tyson - Storm Hound (From Mali's chest, trying to get my robes.)
• Lady Dexter - Ninja Pig (Purchased) (+20 Brownie Points if you caught the Friendly reference.)
• Romeo - Cupig (From Valentina Heartsong)
• Chico - Krokomummy (Purchased)
• King Marley - Danger Hound (W101 Central Facebook Contest)
• Miss Champ - Piggle (Pet Pavilion quest line)

I e-mailed them again, and let them know about this huge loss also.

The other day, they e-mailed all the players who had lost items in this mess up, and told us that they are in the process of fixing it all and retrieving our hard-earned items.

The peculiar thing about this glitch though, is that it only affected some players, and only mounts and pets. Another thing that I noticed was that new items, that I didn't remember purchasing were in my inventory. (Pet treats after Chester, and a DS item after my pets had been lost.) Of course, I just realized that these items were probably items that I got from enemy / boss drops. I: Silly silly Blaze.

I hope that this event did not affect any of you, and if it did, I wish you the best of luck getting those items back, as soon as possible.

Power Nova

Yeeeha! I did the last spell quest in the game (At least until Celestia... I'll make my new spell list tomorrow ;D) Two days ago I leveled up thanks to the Fabulous:

Yeah, I'm pretty excited about 50% Power Pip!

So, I ported home and got the Tutorial Tip (Everytime I say "tutorial tip" I hear it in Gamma's voice, per the tip for n00bs. If you said that in Gamma's Voice you get +25 Brownie Points!)

I'm not going to post all my screenshot of the questline, but along the way I met what looks like what a death troll spell would look like:

You can't tell from this picture, but he had glowing read eyes...spooky!

Of course, I easily pulled the rug from under him!

So I got the Harmonious Crystal from the Necropolis, and moved on to fight the Plague Oni, and put his essence into the crystal because he can have a deadly disease, but not die. (PERFECT BALANCE! [yes, that is a flash game...])

I had some intense help from my good buddy, Eric Hawkdreamer, and Talon SpiritThief (Angel DragonGem [not the one from YouTube] is his life wizard, which is where I met him. So, I still call him Angel ;D)

Of course we pulled the rug from under Ideyoshi, as well.

Then, with a bruised tailbone, he turned into the Plague Oni.

Of course, we got a picture together before the battle.

So, Eric and I "Oni Vs Oni" 'ed this guy:

ONI WINS!

I filled up my crystal with the plague,

and then stopped over at Jared's to have it set. (He did a fabulous job btw!)

Oh Blaze, you shouldn't have...

Then, Good Ol' Alhazred made me smash the "One In A Million" piece of jewlery in front of the Krokosphinx because I "have to give something to get something of equal value" or something along those lines.

Then, Our Lady Judgement came and granted me the Power Nova spell. Alhazred rewarded me with the "Master of Balance" badge and a nifty Hydra pet, Princess Roxy.

Sorry this is such a lengthy post, but I'm just really excited about finally becoming a Master of Balance. Yeah, the n00bs will be flooding me with friend requests, but that's why it's a privacy option.

Eggbert's Vacation

Hey guys, sorry I didn't get to post yesterday. We had a bunch of family over, so I was having fun with all my cousins. (Yes, I finally finished the tutorial XD It's down at April 1st because that's when I started it.)

When I wasn't playing with my cousins, I was playing WarioWare D.I.Y. I made a microgame where you have to catch the Easter Bunny. I'll see if I can re-create it in GameMaker, and upload it for you guys to play. (I doubt I'll be able to copy the awesomesauce)

Maybe I'll be able to get some pics of it for you.

Yup, looks like Eggbert is once again in the spiral, so get some of his cool wands before he leaves for another year. I wonder what he does while he's gone...

Happy Emily Griffinrider Day!

Hey guys, I woke up at 11:30 this morning err afternoon. I have a sore throat. My mom says it's because of my allergies. The party last night was outside, and because of all the rain here lately, it was pretty damp out.

But, despite my not feeling well, today is going to be a very special day.

EMILY GRIFFINRIDER DAY!

Emily Griffinrider was probably my second friend on Wizard101. She's always been there for me when I needed support from a friend, whether it's been a bad day, or me starting this blog. :D

So, today we're going to celebrate my very best friend.

Emily's rocking the Bandit Clothes that I gifted her. Me, I'm just wearing my hat, (I've been wearing it since lvl 5, nope no stitching on it) The Cowl of Comparison, yup, I wore that up until I hit good ol' lvl 45. (Then I switched to the clothes I picked out for myself when I was little n00b Blaze), and the robes and shes that I wore in Mooshu.

But anyway, today we're celebrating all the moments that me and Emily have shared together.

For example, well, there's just so many, I can't think of one in particular. Oh! How about the time when we were making the carpet stairs in my house? I had just had my Desert Villa (I saved up for a house since I started the game, and bought the villa when I finally had enough for the house I wanted) for only a short time, when I was surfing YouTube for cool Wizard101 tricks and found this one:

Oh well, if I ever find it, I'll simply edit this post and put it up here.

Well, I'm sure you've seen videos on how to make stairs out of carpets and crates. My friend Devin has an ice house filled with it. (I have pics of it over on my FB page, except they're labeled as my friend Ian's house, long story XD) So anyway, I started making some stairs to get up to the Krokosphinx like in the video. Of course, I was pretty short on gold after making such a big investment on buying a house. So, needless to say, Emily gave me all her spare treasure cards almost every time she saw me, in order to help me afford to make the stairs. We celebrated when we finally got up to the Krokosphinx. Turns out it was also my birthday when it happened. What a coincidence.

Well that's just great, I can't find the screenshot that I KNOW I took. Does anyone know if there is a maximum number of screens that you can have in the Wizard101 folder, and if you take another it will save over one of them? If that's possible, that's what happened.

Ok, so this whole post isn't really working out so well.

Tomorrow I'm going to be posting a tutorial on how to post a comment, because last night, Emily was having some trouble figuring out how. I already started it (it's saved as a draft post right now.) so I'll finish it and post it tomorrow.

Happy Mudkip Day!

It's my favorite day of the year. Yuppers, it's Mudkip Day! (This is NOT an April Fools joke.) What's that? You've NEVER heard of Mudkip Day? Well, let me tell you the short and awesome story about how it started.

So, once upon a time, on Deviant Art, on April 1st, some insanely awesome hacker changed everyone's profile pic to a picture of a cute little mudkip. So now, every April 1st, we all celebrate Mudkip Day instead of April Fool's Day.

I even wore my "Happy Mudkip Day Shirt." It's a one-of-a-kind shirt. I made it myself last year (well, with the help of my mom.) It's white with this picture on it:
