AwesomeSauce Type #2: Ketchup

Disclaimer: Music Belongs To Selena Gomez

Oh my gosh, it feels so good to get back to blogging. I REALLY hated being off. I just felt like it wasn't something I wanted to do. But, now that I'm back in the post editor, it feels right again. :)

So, let's ketchup err catch up. ;D

New Celestia Reveal. (13)

You'll have to click on it to see it, but there is a little turtle next to our little Angler Fish Prince. So now it looks like there will be 5 more reveals left (provided that no more shadows are added. [which there probably will be because Morganthe hasn't been spotted here yet.]) I predict that next to the Prince there will be a young seahorse, next to Barnacle Bill there will be another Crab similar to the one next to our Marleybone Mechanics. In the center will 99.99% be Thurston Plunkett as he was mentioned in our pre-quest. Next to our robot, will most likely be another (maybe female) (It's not a bucket-head type thing. Zoom in and you can see that's just a cylindrical object in the background. The head shape is nearly the same as the first robot.)
And on the far left? Probably another Sea Pirate type NPC.

Alright, next piece of business. I was in yet another car crash. Before you get all crazy, it was just a small one. My mom had just picked me up from school and we were about to take a left onto our street, when another car was about to drive past from the other lane, so we had to stop and wait a second for it to pass. During this time, the car behind us slams into the back of our car. Guess who? Two seniors from the high school (we live very close to the high school.) Turns out the kid hadn't had his license long enough to have a passenger in the car with him, so he got a ticket for that, and another ticket for following us too closely. (You have to have your license for a certain amount of time before you're allowed to have passengers in your car.) The front of his car was smashed in a bit on one corner and a large plastic piece that went over the bumper came off. The back of our car's bumper was chipped pretty badly and the paint was scratched on both cars. The bumper of our car goes around from the back of both tires so it's going to cost at least $2500 my mom guesses. (She's actually going tonight to get an estimate from the car dealer.) We were both fine, it was just frightening to hear the big THUD noise again.

Next, our Monthly polls.

I was very happy to see that there was a significant amount more of voters. :D

Here's August's:

Is Blaze posting enough?

and September's:

What are you most excited for in Celestia?

Here's Drumroll Troll with the results. Take it away, bud!

x drumroll x

Thank you. :)

Here we go.

Is Blaze Posting Enough?
  • Of course, stupid poll! He was just in a car crash and he's in high school now! Give him a break! - 66% (8 votes)
  • He's doing fine - 25% (3 votes)
  • I honestly don't care - 8% (1 vote)
  • No way! We need a post every day! - 0% (No votes)
Well, it;s great to know that you don't care how often I post, just that I make posts because you love them. :)

Next poll.

What are you most excited for in Celestia?

  • More Insider Info From Blaze - 76% (10 votes)
  • New Spells - 69% (9 votes)
  • New Story - 61% (8 votes)
  • New Areas - 53% (7 votes)
  • New Teachers - 46% (6 votes)
  • New Enemies / Bosses - 46% - (6 votes)
That's awesome! I love how you like my stuff the most! XD

It's just amazing that from a few votes a month it's gone up to 56 votes on just one poll! It really makes me happy to see how many people like my blog.

This month's poll:

Would you like to star in a Wizard101 music video by Blaze?

  • Of course! Blaze is awesome!
  • Maybe.
  • No thanks...
Yeah, that's right. As some of you know, I got a hypercam. This means that I can film whatever is on my computer screen. Which brings me to my next topic. My walkthrough of the Selena Gomez Questline.

I don't have video of me doing the entire quest due to technical issues (my computer froze and had to be shut off, and I lost the video in progress. So here is where I started when my computer came back on.)

(Sorry about the title, idk why "To Be Continued" is on top of it.) I apologize for the lag, my computer isn't used to having a camera and W101 running yet. ;D

And here is the second part of my quest.

So, I plan on making a Wizard101 music video. It'd be quite a large project like the Photoshoots that the community has had in the past (Petnome etc.) I would love to have a ton of my viewers in it so maybe we can have a contest. (After the poll of course.)

Again, next topic.

Monthly Housing Items. Instead of having a picture every month, I figured, why not show you all in a video. So, along with my dad's monthly posts (that he will re-start on Saturday) I will post a video of the item in my house. I hope that helps you out and you will enjoy it.

Next! I have a picture sitting in my folders from a while ago (June 6th to be exact) if any of you recall, that was one of the hottest days of the Summer. On that day, KingsIsle released this picture on it's Twitter page. I was meaning to show it to you, but somehow it slipped my mind. Here it is.

The KingsIsle staff decided instead of staying inside, to go tubing along with their friends from the Spiral. YOu can see a Mander, a Gobbler, and even a Skeletal Pirate! (Arhhar-shabawa!)

Last, but certainly not least. We now have our good friend, Bruce

err, Mr. Shark Mount, available in the game. Just like every other mount, he's available for sale in the Crowns Shop. I'm not sure if you can rent him from Zeke or if you can only use him in water. I don't have one, and haven't really researched it much, yet. Just thought I'd let you all know about this, (I know many of you were very excited about this one ;D)

I believe that's all for today. I hope you enjoyed this very very long post. I'm going to try to post more often, now that I'm more used to the new schedule of the school year. Thank you.

Celestia Artwork Part 8

Ok guys. I know I'm supposed to be relaxing my arm and it's killing me to type this, but I have to show you this.

Yeah, I told you all that it was a female Marleybonian not a wizard girl. So there. ;D Looks like the Red Gobbler has been confirmed also. In addition to this, there are quite a few (I counted 7) new "mysteries" for us.

Clicky make biggy. ;D

That's all for now.

Btw, I know we should be on part 6 right now, but I guess I messed up with the counting and skipped some wallpapers or something. Anyway, this is correctly Part 8.

Warehouse Frustration

I started the Celestia pre-quests yesterday and made it to the Warehouse. Man is that tough.

Here's how it all went down with a Life, Fire, Storm, Balance (that's me,) and Death.

First Try:
Made it to the top, no problem. Got both rats down. Our Storm loses connection. We're destroyed by Estrakir's beefed up Fire Nova.

Second Try:
Our healer has to leave. Called on Angel Dragongem. He doesn't have the quest so he goes on his death alt, Talon Spiritthief. We make it to the top at full health. Get both rats. Get Knuckles. Our attacker, Jacob (Storm) is killed by Estrakir's Scarecrow. He heals and re-enters. Estrakir only has a thousand or so left. Long story short, scarecrow every other turn stinks, and our last wizard (Fire) didn't hold out until we got back up to the top.

Third Try:
The dungeon hasn't reset so we can start at the top every time now. Yay. (Or not!) We get the Rat Illusionists and Knuckles McCloud down very quickly. We get Estrakir down to maybe 500 health. I'm so pumped, ready to finally scream uncensored words at Estrakir in our victory, when out of nowhere. Estrakir casts a Fire Dragon, killing us all. I then start crying.

Fourth Try:
We're all pretty annoyed by now. But, we think we can handle it without a Theurgist (Life student.) We were oh so wrong. Pretty much the same thing happens as last time. We get so close, and someone dies before we can make it back up to the top again. Turns out it was me. Our Fire was the only one up there, while we were healing, getting ready to say goodbye to that Shadow Weaver for good. I ran as fast as I could to the last floor. When I got there, all the enemies were standing around (laughing at our defeat) and Wolf (our Fire) was gone.

Fifth Try:
I'm just rocking back and forth in a ball, saying to myself "Power Nova,...Scarecrow,...Fire Dragon,...it's just not fair,...just not fair." as I'm just sobbing, tears streaming down my face. Wolf was just standing in Reagents Square (the Marleybone Commons) not saying anything. We figured he got disconnected, or something. Jacob, Talon, and I were on the top floor, and we painfully entered the next battle. Talon persuaded me to buy a Life Henchman, so we had a healer of some sort, (other than Wolf and Talon's occasional satyrs. After which Knuckles would Rebirth.) Jacob didn't think that was such a good idea, because we would have a harder time with someone we couldn't communicate with. (I don't know how Menu Chatters would be able to do this... x shudder x) Once we got one rat down, and we were down to 3-400 health each, (except Stefan Greenspirit of course, cause no one cares about the npc,) I just said, well, use your imaginations, and hit Flee, and then inevitably Quit.

My mom says I'm not allowed to go on Wizard101 today because it upset me far too much yesterday.

I just wanted to say how completely unfair I think this place is, and I want to hear what you guys think of it.

Happy Gaming (Unless you're in the Warehouse.)

Celestia Prequests Part 2: Theorycrafting

"Hold on a second, Blaze! You mean to tell us there's even more involved in that questline?"

No, don't worry. What's a good spoiler without some theorycrafting from your favorite blogger right? Of course, Friendly hasn't done much of it yet, so second favorite will have to do. Ok fine, third.

I just want to talk about where I believe we will have to go to fight Shadow Weavers to retrieve parts of the decoder. Now, I know that almost all of you have seen an area in the game and asked yourselves (or Friendly as the case may be) "Hey, self / Friendly, what is the point of that place?" Well, that's mainly what I'm here to talk about.

For Wizard City, I believe that the Shadow Weaver will be located behind the Death gates in the Haunted Cave.

I know what you're thinking. "Blaze, that's obviously for a Death Wizard spell quest." WRONG! It's not. Friendly did a post about it somewhere, but I don't really wanna go looking for it. (Feel free to if you want.) If you just don't want to agree here then it's probably in the mysterious empty house in Olde Town

You know, it's probably not because I've been told that if you go up on the ledge near the attic window, you can see Malistaire inside.

For the Krokotopia Shadow Weaver, I have found a few places that it could be. For example, behind the wall of bricks in the Pyramid of The Sun. (Yes, fellow sorcerers, that is Priya, the dryad, helping train a theurgist. I know, Priya loves us more. ;D)

Or maybe through one of the tunnels we haven't been able to explore.

If we can find a way down to it of course.

Or maybe it's in the Temple of Storms, behind those bricks.

Or through that tunnel.

And has anyone noticed that island up there?

Maybe it's up there, watching from above. (Creepy, I know.)

And if it's not up there, maybe it'll be behind that door on the side of the Oasis Library.

Yeah Zan'ne is definitely hiding it from us. Never trust an orange mander, I guess.
Or maybe through the tunnel on the back of the minigame pyramid.

For Marleybone, I believe it will be inside Barkingham Palace.

"Hey Blaze, isn't there some sort of Marleybone side quest from one of those guards that has you go in the palace?" WRONG! (again.) There isn't. "Then why would they make it." -.- For the Shadow Weaver. "Oh..."

For the Mooshu Shadow Weaver, I'm not sure at all. I honestly have NO idea whatsoever. If you guys have any idea of where it might appear. Let me know down in the comments.

For the Dragonspyre Shadow Weaver, I am almost positive it will be behind the door behind the knowledge crystal in the Plaza of Conquests.

Ok, I hope that gave you a good idea of where you'll have to be going on your next journey throughout the Spiral. (Like the obsidian chests... x shudder x)

Btw, if you started up W101 to try and find Malistaire, you get +30 Brownie Points! You probably won't find him though. He's really busy battling those bored grandmasters. ;D

Happy Gaming
Note: The pictures of Malistaire in Olde Town, The Krokotopia Library, and the Krokotopia Minigame Pyramid ARE edited by yours truly. I apologize for any confusion. I guess I really AM a great edit-er. Sorry for the disappointment. I just really love editing W101 pictures. ;D

Curious Counterweights

Hello everybody. I recieved my first e-mail last night. From Victoria Spiritblossom! She gets brownie points for that (+20.) Ok, here's her question:

Come to think of it, there is something I’ve been wondering recently. I recently finished the Counterweight East quest, and I figured out that it’s a great source of scrap iron. When I left, it took me down to a room that looks like the ones from Big Ben (instead of the winding staircases of the Counterweights). Within a few seconds it pulled up the loading screen and I was back in the royal Museum before I could explore this floor. It doesn’t always do this when I leave that dungeon, but almost half of the time it does. And I’m also remembering one time when I was helping my friend. I ported to them right after they went inside and we were on the same type of floor that I described. We had to fight several of those rooms before we got to the large winding rooms with all the gears and counterweights. When I was fighting that dungeon for my own quest, it just took me straight to the room with Gus. Is this just a glitch, or is it a secret floor or something?

Sorry for the long explanation,
Victoria Spiritblossom

Ok, Victoria, here it goes.

When you do the Counterweight Quests, as with Big Ben, you can not only go up, but also down floors. When you go up in the Counterweights, it looks just like Big Ben, until you get to the last floor, which is really 7 layers, with 5 mob battles and the boss battle. This last floor is much larger and has the "winding staircase" that you mentioned. As for the rest of the floors, it's just a typical MB tower. (Are there any others? [Excluding one-floor towers.]) When you try to exit the dungeon, the game is told to bring you down a floor, but then it is told you have you exit the dungeon. So, you enter the room for a split second, and then leave. Btw, the length was perfect! I hope all my questions can be this detailed. I hope this helps. Maybe I'll add some pictures, but for now I just wanted to get this question answered while I had it in my mind. Thank you for asking.

If any of you have further information on this topic, please post it in the comments for us. Thank you.

Tomorrow I have a HUGE surprise. Let's see if you can guess why? Who ever guesses right first, get's a spot on my friends list, and a derby race with me. (Practice.)

Complexity

Hey, today Friendly wrote a very insightful post on the complexity of Wizard101.

http://thefriendlynecromancer.blogspot.com/2010/04/complexity-getting-nearer-to-root-of.html

I can definitely agree with what he is saying. Dragonspyre really felt a little too easy. I mean it was the final main-story world. It was supposed to be in ruins, it should have been a lot more complicated to get through, and maze-like. Like in Marleybone. x shudders x Once I finish the side quests I missed, I'm never going back to MB. I really hated it. But, that's beside the point. I felt really lost at times and actually forgot I had a map. Like Dora would say: "Who do we ask, when we don't know which way to go?" Silly Dora, maps are for kids!

Anyway, I think Dragonspyre really should've been more complex, and hopefull Celestia will make up for that. I agree, the quest helper is VERY useful at times, but we, as wizards, need to learn to explore more. Yes, Zeke is definitely helping us with that, but I think it needs to be incorporated more into the core-game.

At one point in Dragonspyre, right after completing The Crucible, I said out loud "That's it?" I really thought it was far too little quests for just one area. Not to mention a HUGE area.

I think that Celestia shouldn't just be a silly little 3-3 world like DS. There was far more they could do with it. It's a shame they can't take it back, like Friendly talked about. (If you don't know what a 3-3 world is, I believe Friendly's diagrams will help you out.)

Hopefully KingsIsle won't dissapoint with the release of Celestia.
